Adding keywords to an existing rule

Adding new keyword entries to an existing rule is very simple.  From the appropriate rule list, global or conditional type and a direction, double-click on the specific rule to open a dialog box with rule components organized in separate tab pages.

The tabbed interface allows you quick access to modify any component of your rule: conditions, actions, and exceptions.  For the purposes of adding new entries, it is sufficient to simply view the General tab page and click on the blue underlined phrase to open a data entry window.

Type your new entry and press or the Enter key.  Do this for all your new entries and press when you are finished.  Your entries will now appear in the details of the rule description lower window.

Note:

Unlike the original Praetor, this G2 series puts your modified entries into effect the moment you press .  There is no longer any need to stop and re-start the Praetor G2 service.
